Molotov Rag by Fungleberry Molotov Rag by Fungleberry
While adventuring in Toronto, a very nice anarchist asked me if I would redraw the logo for his magazine, The Molotov Rag. Some of you may notice that this is rather unlike what I have been doing recently. It was a challenge I was glad to accept and I am very happy with the results!

Enjoy!

definitely a departure from the caleb style... i think it was pretty successful for the most part. right now it's sort of in limbo between a highly realistic (but full of beautiful abstractions)piece and something a little more stylized.

I would personally love to see it pushed further in either direction. beef up the lines, get some thick expressive weight in parts, and keep other parts light and delicate.

Or you could take the other route and that would be to bring in some nice, deep shadows. especially around the paper. Oh man that would look awesome.

It's a great concept though, I'd like to see more stuff like this... not necessarily still lives but out of your comfort zone.

Nice. I love all the details. It looks very classy and newspaper-ish, delicate, but still rebellious :)
